1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using RouteKR's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. RouteKR provides a proxy purchasing (buying agent) service for Korean products on behalf of international customers.
2. Service Description
RouteKR acts as a purchasing agent. We purchase products from Korean online stores on your behalf based on the product URL, options, and quantity you specify. We receive the items at our center in Korea, inspect them, and ship them internationally to your provided address. RouteKR does not manufacture, sell, or guarantee any products. We are an intermediary service.
3. Pricing & Payments
Orders require two payments: (1) First payment covers the product price plus a flat ₩3,000 service fee (free for orders over ₩100,000). (2) Second payment covers international shipping fees, calculated after the item arrives at our center and is weighed. All prices are displayed in KRW (Korean Won) and converted to your local currency at checkout using the daily exchange rate with a 3% margin. Payments are processed through our payment gateway.
4. Order Processing
After your first payment is confirmed, we purchase the item within 1-2 business days. Domestic delivery to our center typically takes 1-5 business days depending on the seller. Once received, we inspect the item, take photos, measure the weight, and notify you of the international shipping cost. After the second payment, items are shipped within 1-2 business days. (All timeframes are based on business days, excluding weekends and holidays.)
5. User Responsibilities and Customs
You are responsible for providing accurate product URLs, options, quantities, and shipping addresses. You must comply with your country's import regulations and customs duties. RouteKR is not responsible for customs fees, taxes, or duties imposed by your country. Customs inspection, seizure, disposal, or return-to-sender decisions rest solely with the destination country's customs authority — RouteKR has no involvement. Some countries (including Japan) prohibit import of patent/trademark-infringing items (e.g. PopSockets patent JP6091438 until 2032 covers smart grips like 스마트톡/그립톡, counterfeit luxury goods), meat and meat-containing foods (instant ramen, beef bone soup, dumplings, ham, etc). Customs guidance shown in the checkout flow and RouteKR extension is based on known cases and does not cover all rejection scenarios. Please verify import eligibility yourself before ordering. Prohibited items also include hazardous materials, weapons, counterfeit goods, and items restricted by international shipping regulations.
6. Limitation of Liability and Payment Method Costs
RouteKR is not liable for product quality, defects, or discrepancies between the product listing and the actual item received from the seller. We provide inspection photos so you can verify the item before international shipping. Our liability is limited to the service fee paid. We are not responsible for delays caused by sellers, customs, or shipping carriers. Damages arising from customs seizure/disposal/return at destination, SWIFT bank fees charged by your sending bank for Wise transfers (typically 2,500-5,500 JPY in Japan), transfer processing time (1-3 business days), and exchange rate fluctuations affecting payment amounts are all borne by the customer — RouteKR is not liable. Cost comparisons shown in checkout are average estimates and may differ based on your bank's actual policies.
7. Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@routekr.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse our service. Pending orders must be completed or cancelled before account termination.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from the use of our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Anyang Branch of the Suwon District Court, Republic of Korea.
